What is Rotary ?

• Rotary is a worldwide organisation of business, professional and community leaders.

• For more than one hundred years, ordinary people around the world have been giving to humanity through Rotary International. Rotary's main aim is Service Above Self - supporting those in need in our home country and throughout the world.

• The magic of Rotary is that it allows ordinary people to achieve the most extraordinary things. By using the powerful synergy of one, people unite to achieve exceptional global change. Many ordinary members of Rotary have developed projects that brought significant change to the world.

• In round figures we have:  in Australia,  34,000 Rotarians in 1180 clubs. Around the world 1,210,000 Rotarians in 32,800 clubs

• Our district (Number 9780) has 59 clubs and around 1800 members. 

​​

• We currently have around 60 members but are always looking for more !

• We meet socially and formally, share the workload of projects and events and have a good balance of interest, experience, skills and gender.
